Who doesn’t love Vince Guaraldi’s A Charlie Brown Christmas soundtrack?  I think Charlie Brown might be my all-time favorite Christmas album because unlike Christmas pop songs (which I do love too), the smooth, classic jazz never feels outdated.

This year I started listening to Christmas music beginning on Halloween.  I know I know, I’m one of “them.”  And I have been driving around town listening to this mellow jazz music ever since.  David Ian’s style is much like Vince Guaraldi’s.  Some of the songs are purely instrumental and some feature some light singing as well.

If I could buy everyone I know a Christmas album this year, it would be this one.
