Cam-dog, get your Cam-dog!

Jon grilled up a delicious feast of tri tip steak, hamburgers, hot dogs and chicken on Sunday for our church’s BBQ.  Somehow our son also made it onto the menu.

My mom and i found this amazing little outfit at a garage sale in Shell Beach when she was here visiting.  Ever since he was born I have been looking for an occasion to stuff him into this thing and luckily Sunday was the day!

I have a feeling Cam-dog will be making an appearance at every BBQ we attend this summer…

Celebration Dinner

So to celebrate our “little Kidwell” we decided to BBQ.  Seeing as we don’t own a BBQ, and Jon being the genius that he is – he made one out of a large catering pan, mesquite charcoal and one of my cheap-o cookie cooling racks.

We bought free-range Rib Eye and while I baked up some potatoes and mixed up a mean green salad, Jon cooked what I have to say was THE BEST STEAK I’VE EVER HAD! Who needs a fancy-shmancy BBQ, really?
